About Ktec Garage
I'm Kevin, the guy behind Ktec Garage. Been working on cars my whole life. At 16, me and my friends rebuilt a 302 for my '69 Mustang in my driveway, using just a come-a-long and a pecan tree to pull the engine.
My first new car was an '89 CRX Si, which got me hooked on Hondas. I even had a CR250R dirt bike and a CBR600RR for a while. In 2019, my 2000 Accord, my daily driver for a 100-mile commute, blew a head gasket at 315,000 miles. I pulled the engine to do a full refresh and decided to film it.
I'd always watched guys like Eric The Car Guy, Mustie1, and South Main Auto and thought, "I could do that." Filming was way harder than it looked—everything took three times as long, and I had no clue what I was doing. But people left some great comments on my F23 rebuild series, which kept me going. With retirement coming up, I stuck with making YouTube videos.
Thanks to all my subscribers and folks leaving kind comments. Means a lot.
